After the war, a richly dressed male insect who couldn't speak crouched in the prison where the defeated were held. He looked at the military female insect in front of him, chained up, covered in bloody marks, and kneeling obediently with her head bowed.
"Is he all right?"
The lord gestured to the guard beside him.
"Prisoner A354 suffered a mental breakdown after repeated electric shocks. He's being sent to the insect pits to become a female slave. My lord, he's a high-risk military female of unknown identity from the rebel army. He's dangerous. Please stay away from him."
Cyril gently lifted Salis's chin with one finger.
He saw those confused orange-gold eyes, just as he had when he first met this female insect many years ago in an underground black market on a remote planet.
Now this insect looked as though... she was about to die.
"It's all right. Send him to my home. I don't want to be forcibly matched. I want to choose my own partner."
"I'll take him," the lord said.
As the guards stared in shock, he curiously tried rubbing the military female's head. Then he picked up a muzzle, bent down, and gently fastened it onto the insect before him.

Includes male insects pressing close to the top, and a whole swarm of female insects admiring him. The top is a universally adored, cool-toned insect Mary Sue. He isn't actually unable to speak, it just isn't convenient for him most of the time.
