"Everyone has an obsession and a dream. Wishes left unfulfilled in life live on with the soul after death, becoming the ghosts' 'supernatural abilities.'"
"The ghostly boys who possess all kinds of supernatural abilities call themselves Divine Spirits. In the world after death, they fight demons, save the world, and put the regrets they carried in life to rest..."
That is the basic premise of the anime In Action: Superpowered Boys.
After finishing her college entrance exams, Nan Qingshui happened to click on an animation website. She discovered the show and spent her summer watching it nonstop, falling deeply in love with the story.
But before she could recommend the anime to her friends, she was involved in a serious car accident and fell into a coma.
The doctors said she would never wake up.
Yet no one expected that two months later, Nan Qingshui would miraculously regain consciousness, recover well, and be ready to leave the hospital soon.
When she arrived at school to register, the clubs were recruiting new members.
Nan Qingshui hadn't planned to join any club, but somehow she found an invitation to join the most mysterious club on campus, the Supernatural Phenomena Research Society, on her dorm-room desk
"An invitation for Big Sister Qingshui:
We have successfully sealed the road to the spirit world and reached the target location. Every member of the Supernatural Research Society will remember your contribution and sacrifice forever!
But the crisis is not over. The tides of the sea of spirits continue to rise and fall, and demons are still being swept to this shore.
Are you still willing to return to us, to keep fighting and drive the demons back, and to defend the peace of the living world?
If you only want a peaceful life and don't want to get caught up in this anymore, we will protect your everyday life at any cost.
If you are still willing to fight for world peace, bring this invitation to Building 4, Room 414, and come find us.
The doors of the Supernatural Research Society will always be open to you!
Your former teammate (crossed out) friend, Lan Li"
Nan Qingshui: ...
The Supernatural Phenomena Research Society is the club where the main characters of In Action: Superpowered Boys belong.
And this "Lan Li" is the male lead's younger sister and the female lead's best friend.
Nan Qingshui: ?
...What is this? Some elaborate prank by the anime club to recruit members?
The female lead has no romantic pairing. Her relationships with everyone else are platonic.
A magical-girl manga style: no villains throughout. The main plot is hanging out, eating, drinking, shopping, and traveling; the battles consist of shouting catchphrases, transforming, and an excessive amount of talking. I'd call it: fishing for readers at the start, kneading dough in the middle, and making dumplings at the end.

Theme: World peace
