Synopsis
Blurb:
In an apocalypse overrun by fusion monsters, hairpin maker Shi Qing stood with her suitcase, staring at an abandoned street that stirred a faint sense of familiarity.
Good news: She had bonded with the [Anything Can Be a Hairpin] System. Anything in the world could be turned into jewelry materials.
Bad news: If she couldn't find a buyer for a hairpin within twelve hours, she'd lose access to food and water. And everywhere she looked, there wasn't a living thing in sight. The wind blew, but the trees stood still. Everything felt ominous.
She tried to pua the tentacle monster wearing a girl's body and luring her in. "Look at you, all disheveled, without a single accessory. You don't even have a hairpin. You don't look human at all."
Then she met an actual human and forgot all about the unfinished deal.
Later, she was dragged into the abyss and struggled to crawl out from a pile of skeletons and crystal cores. The girl led a dense crowd of human corpses to surround her and stare. "Hairpin, hairpin..." Their voices rang in her ears from every direction.
Shi Qing: "..."
Can I start over?
Later still, she started carrying her shop on the run. No, wait, she began waging guerrilla warfare against the monster hordes.
-
At first, she simply turned a blue stone with a mind full of explosive thoughts into a bracelet that granted explosive skills, an ordinary little pebble into a necklace with a permanent background-character aura, and materials with different properties into all sorts of accessories.
A fast-running camphorwood bracelet gave a speed buff that worked astonishingly well on creatures that couldn't walk, even letting them sprout roots and sprint underground.
The elaborate, impractical aesthetic took the apocalypse by storm.
But then things started to go off the rails.
Tomato-and-egg stir-fry headdress: Fragrant from ten miles away, increases hunger and fills you up.
Teary chili-pepper ear cuff: Want some fiery tears?
Icicle sword: Time to start acting like a chuuni.
Watermelon-seed bracelet: They'll sprout if you eat them.
Medicine-curing bead hairpin: Put it on and get cured, dear. Mom, I never have to take medicine again!
Before she knew it, Shi Qing had united everyone's tastes in fashion and brought the apocalypse to an end.

Romance:
It was the third time! Su Yi couldn't believe it. Every time he was about to arrive at the 37 Craft Shop, he'd run right into a monster horde. And every time he escaped by the skin of his teeth, he'd run into the spatial-ability girl before him.
The difference was that every time, he lost all his belongings and returned empty-handed and penniless. She was clean and tidy, as if she'd been on vacation, and came back laden with loot.
For a guy as unlucky as him, seeing her brought him happiness, then heartache, every single time.
The monster hordes brought them together again and again. They grew familiar, came to understand each other, joined forces, faced life and death together, and, along the way, fought monsters to pay off his debts.
Yes, she covered his food, clothes, daily supplies, and medicine, and even sold his jewelry for him. Every time they met, he ended up owing her a fortune.
This time, he meant to invite her to become his permanent partner, but she sent him a job offer instead.
Ha, a direct hire from the boss of the 37 Craft Shop!
He was laughing with rage!
