The Odds of Coming Out to My Nemesis Aren't Zero

When Yu Lu woke up, he discovered he was the protagonist receiving character in a melodramatic danmei novel.

And his husband was none other than Fu Chongyan, the rival he hated most.

They'd been at each other's throats since childhood, and had just gotten into the same university as top scorers on the national college entrance exam.

Yu Lu: "..."

From then on, this staunch straight man swore he would never be the bottom, and tried to change his fate.

But nothing ever went according to plan.

He'd chosen a dorm far away, yet still ended up sharing a room with Fu Chongyan. The university library had four floors and millions of books, yet he just had to reach for the same one as Fu Chongyan.

Even when he joined a club in his spare time, he looked up and found that familiar, cold gaze.

Still, thankfully, hard work paid off. After Yu Lu's persistent efforts, he finally managed to put some distance between himself and his "fated husband."

They only ran into each other a handful of times, and Fu Chongyan always looked away with an irritated expression, clearly not wanting to see him.

Yu Lu was finally able to relax.

Until one day, he unexpectedly saw Fu Chongyan arguing fiercely with his mother.

"Do you have any idea how absurd you are? You actually did all that for a man..."

His rival's voice was calm. "Because Yu Lu is worth it."

Yu Lu had been enjoying the drama until it turned out to be about him. He was completely bewildered.

Wait, something had to be wrong... Why was his rival still gay???

*

Fu Chongyan was cold by nature, yet he was always having the same dream.

In the dream, light and shadow overlapped. A young man blushed, his expression restrained but his words cocky: "Fu, I'm definitely going to kill you tomorrow."

After waking, he recognized the star of his erotic dream as his rival, Yu Lu.

Scenes of his time with Yu Lu from childhood onward kept overlapping with the person in his dream. Those shameful desires seemed to stir an endless longing, reminding Fu Chongyan of long ago... of the person who had given his life an anchor again and brought him back down to the surface of the Earth.

He lowered his lashes, a faint glimmer in his eyes.

He murmured the young man's name, gentle and intimate.
