I'll Wait for You in My Memories 2

The ordinary days we once took for granted have become precious moments we can never return to. The summers in our memories always seem especially long. The cicadas, the soda, and your smiling face have all become the gentlest keepsakes. As children, we couldn't wait to grow up. When we did, we realized that our happiest days were all in the past. Looking through old photos, we discovered that the most moving stories had been written in our youth all along. Some memories are like old movies: every time we replay them, our lips curve into a smile without us noticing. Back then, happiness was simple. An ice pop or a game could light up an entire summer. We always look back on the past, not because it was so wonderful, but because we were young then. Time has taken so much away, yet those beautiful moments remain forever frozen in our memories. If only I could wake up and still be that boy dreaming with his head on his desk, with the familiar cicadas and blue sky outside the window.
