Suyue is the second princess of the Western Kingdom. Above her is her powerful, arrogant elder brother, and below her is her half-demon younger brother, whom the Dog General favors above all others. Caught between them, she is frail from birth. Though she possesses the purest bloodline of the great demons, she is only a little stronger than an ordinary demon.
Jealous and twisted, Suyue yearns for power and to be needed. She wants to become someone others consider "indispensable," so she turns her attention to weak humans, those lowly, filthy, yet astonishingly resilient creatures.
She "tames" them like pets, ordering them around from on high and making them serve her. She even has her half-demon brother search for shards of the Shikon Jewel.
Suyue offers pity to prey on the brink of death, watching them struggle to survive in despair and savoring their ugly, desperate desire to live.
Under her "kindness," those humans cling to life, only to eventually become twisted monsters. They no longer beg for her mercy. Instead, they open their gaping maws to swallow her whole, not to devour her power, but to absorb her and become one with her.
At last, Suyue understands that she was never raising loyal hounds, but demons lurking in the shadows.
They stare at her, waiting for her to show a weakness, then
Drag her into the abyss.
