Until he sets his sights on that always-smiling tennis prodigy from Seigaku.

"Senpai Fuji, I like you."

Fuji opens his icy blue eyes, his smile as gentle as water. "Sure, Shensi. Let's go out."

Shensi: ??? Wait! Weren't you supposed to reject me? He must be messing with me!

His teammate Kamio runs with flames under his feet, while his opponents can turn the world to ice with a single swing of the racket. Fuji from Seigaku can control the wind, Atobe from Hyotei can freeze things, and the new transfer students are even more outlandish: one can shoot flames from his forehead, one is supposedly from a family of ninja, and another carries a huge sword...

Shensi's face stays blank. "This is really annoying."

No superpowers, no special effects, not even a serve that glows. Shensi has already thought of a way out: he can always switch to another field. Nothing is impossible if you're willing to give up!

Until a tall, blond man with a smile straight off a magazine cover walks into the Fudomine tennis club, carrying a brand-new racket still wrapped in plastic.

"Hello, I'm Kise Ryota. I'm here to join the club today."
