Also known as: A fifty-something study-abroad old-timer meets a high-quality nineteen-year-old college boy, and they agree to get together after he retires at sixty (?)
Xu Gui, a student abroad in the UK who just wants to go home for a good meal, gets forcibly pulled into a live-streamed game instance by a malicious pop-up.
As a result, Xu Gui, who hates being on camera, can only livestream himself cooking inside game instances.
But... it's a horror-themed infinite game. The ghosts and players in the setting are fighting in a bloody mess.
It turns out the streaming platform was reported for "spreading negative content" and ordered to make changes. So the platform finds a food blogger who knows how to handle unappetizing ingredients, hoping to offset the original game's negativity with the positive content of "delicious food."
The unlucky video blogger is Xu Gui, and his diners are no longer his fellow students abroad, but the bosses of the game instances.
After a dangerous first stream, the platform gives him a life-saving privilege and a special item: a cookbook with missing pages.
The cookbook includes all sorts of weird dishes: pour-over coffee made from the moment you plant the tree, mineral flower pastries, honey wine specially made for vampires, God's brain, and more.
Xu Gui, a student abroad in a culinary wasteland, begins collecting recipes while cooking for the bosses in the game instances. Along the way, he even revives the appetite of a teammate who has eaten nothing but bland Western food for years.
The first instance, [Minced Pork with Eggplant], has been eaten.
The second instance, [Pour-Over Coffee], is brewing.
The third instance, [Flower Pastries], is being sifted for petals.
The fourth instance, [Honey Wine], is fermenting.
The fifth instance, [Roasted Bird Legs], is being butchered.
The sixth instance, [Dreamcore Birthday Cake], is being sketched out.
The seventh instance, [Air-Dried Duck Wings], is hunting ducks.
The eighth instance, [Sashimi], is out at sea.
The ninth instance, [Electronic Grilled Skewers], is being ordered online.
The tenth instance, [God's Brain], is learning spirit-medium rituals.
*About the age gap: I hope that when you see this couple, you first fall silent, then slowly let out an "Huh?"
*I drew the pixel-bead character design sheet myself in a postage-stamp style. I got into pixel beads, but can only participate as a virtual player.
Theme: Wherever you are and whoever you are, eat well
Who would have thought that the most unique way to clear the level in the infinite dungeon is not to fight to the death, but to pick up a pot and spoon and cook a meal for the ghost. "Liuzi Cooks, But Infinite Flow" breaks out of Infinite Flow's usual routine of breaking through levels and fighting monsters, and creates a novel track. Liuzi Xu Gui was accidentally dragged into the horror live broadcast copy. Others were on the main line of exterminating insects and exorcising demons, but he was the only one bound to the chef task. While facing the shadow of the secluded house and the photophobic Sarah bug, I was thinking about the recipe. The contrast was particularly wonderful. The rivalry between the two protagonists is very tense. Richard's sharp edge is exposed, and he is used to taking the initiative to solve puzzles; Xu Gui is calm and reserved, with the unique pyrotechnics of international students. The two tested each other, secretly complained, and moved from suspicion to forced cooperation. There is no forced passion, the dialogue is real and vivid. The atmosphere of the haunted house is also well grasped, with rustling insects, a bedroom full of light bulbs, and a second bedroom with restraints locked, peeling back layer by layer the suppressed and broken past of Sarah's mother and daughter. Beneath the shell of terror lies a core of warmth. Sarah is not a simple evil monster, she is trapped in hallucinations, illness and her mother's twisted protection. Xu Gui's seemingly outrageous task of cooking just breaks out of his confrontational thinking. Rather than annihilation, perhaps "a meal" represents communication and reconciliation. The design of the barrage in the live broadcast room is the finishing touch, breaking the airtight feeling of the copy and adding fun. Thriller and fireworks collide, suspense and daily life are intertwined. Among countless dark and strange infinite streams, this story with a sense of potency is particularly eye-catching. Looking forward to the follow-up, watching a spoonful of fireworks to dissolve the lingering haze of the haunted house. I like this setting very much and look forward to the author continuing to update it. Come on and work hard! Every author who loves writing deserves support~[][][]
