A self-serving, materialistic wicked stepmother vs. a dark, twisted, lovesick, unhinged stepdaughter
Shi Jinyu first met Ji Shuhe when she was sixteen.
Her birth mother had died not long before. Then her father brought this woman home and told her, "From now on, A-He will be your new mother."
A white shirt and a figure-hugging skirt, wavy permed hair framing red lips. Her eyes brimmed with ambition and flirtatious charm, utterly at odds with the white hair at her mother's temples.
Ji Shuhe said gently, "I'll treat you like my own daughter."
Shi Jinyu couldn't bring herself to call a woman only eight years older than her Mom.
So Shi Jinyu rolled her eyes and sneered, "Go to hell."
One year later.
Ji Shuhe's wife's funeral was held on a rainy day.
In the year she'd been married to her late wife, she'd used her wife's influence to rise from a junior manager to a senior director. When her career hit a ceiling, her wife died, giving her the final push to soar to success.
At the funeral, mourners filled the hall. Across the coffin, Ji Shuhe met those eyes.
Shi Jinyu was already seventeen. Her eyes, with their visible lower whites, had grown more and more gloomy, and her emotions were so cold she hardly seemed normal. She hadn't even shed a tear while carrying her late mother's coffin.
Ji Shuhe found her a little disagreeable, but maintained her composure as she said, "You're still young. I'll take care of things at the company, so just focus on your studies."
As expected, Shi Jinyu didn't answer.
But this time, she didn't roll her eyes.
After enduring it all, Ji Shuhe raised her until she was eighteen.
She threw her adopted daughter a proper coming-of-age ceremony, deciding it was time to get rid of this burden.
Late that night, she knocked on Shi Jinyu's bedroom door. No one was inside, but she unexpectedly discovered a hidden room.
The walls of the room were covered with photos of her, taken from different angles and in different places.
At company meetings, on vacation, out dining with friends, and most often asleep.
The latest photo was from just yesterday, showing her on a date with someone she was seeing.
Shocked by the scene before her, Ji Shuhe tried to run, but something on the small bed caught her eye:
Her clothes.
More precisely, the underwear that had been disappearing so often over the past year.
They didn't seem to have been treated very well. They were crumpled and covered in numerous strange wet stains, all stuffed under the pillow.
Ji Shuhe was so disgusted by what she saw that she wanted to throw up. Before she could take it all in, she heard the lock click behind her.
Her adopted daughter, who had always hated her to the core, had entered without her noticing. She pressed herself against Ji Shuhe's back like a ghost. "Didn't you say you'd treat me like your own daughter?"
Her shoulders were held fast. Her adopted daughter was now taller than she was, and Ji Shuhe couldn't move.
A flurry of delicate kisses fell like rain.
"Mothers nurse their daughters," Shi Jinyu murmured, looking down at the woman trembling in her arms. She caught the collar of her shirt between her teeth and whispered, "So let's start with breastfeeding."
"Mom..."
Only then did Ji Shuhe understand.
When Shi Jinyu had first seen her, the words "Go to hell" hadn't been a curse directed at her.
Content Warnings:
1. Kink-focused, wildly dramatic and outrageous stepmother fiction. The author lets loose completely.
2. Both leads are each other's first and only.
3. Both protagonists are crazy. Don't judge the characters by normal standards.
4. The author enjoys watching a clear-headed stepmother sink into it, and a stepdaughter's pathological possessiveness.
5. It's melodramatic. As long as it's satisfying, that's all that matters.
