[Pride and Prejudice] The Life of a Nineteenth-Century Lady

[1] A botany graduate who could never find a job wakes up as a nineteenth-century lady fleeing back to London: Heather Lawrence, the aunt of the five Bennet sisters from Pride and Prejudice. Unlike in the original story, she never married someone from Meryton, next door to Longbourn. The good news is that she married a much wealthier French count. The even better news is that her count husband has just died, leaving her a huge inheritance. So here's the question: in an era when inheritance laws are stacked against women, how can she smoothly inherit the estate of her late husband, whom she barely knew? That estate lawyer who just showed up on her doorstep seems promising! But why does something about him feel so strange? [2] Before she turned eighteen, Mary Bennet was an invisible girl who tried hard to be noticed but never succeeded. Then, at nineteen, a beautiful aunt appeared out of nowhere and saw her. "Auntie, Auntie, can you tell me again the story of how you chose me out of all the sisters?" [The canon couples stay together, but they are supporting characters in this story and won't get much page time.] [There is a career storyline and a male lead.] Coming soon: [Classic Literature Crossover: Life at a Nineteenth-Century Girls' School] She transmigrates into a student at an aristocratic girls' school in the nineteenth century, and expects her family to cut off her allowance in a year. [Dream of the Red Chamber + Qing Dynasty Transmigration: The Xue Sisters] She transmigrates into Dream of the Red Chamber alongside her powerful older brother. Theme: Always love life.
