The bad people she bit could become her minions, and she could even take orders to bite people for others.

Mu Yao: Oh. Not interested.

System: ...

The Zombie Biter System also said she could build a safehouse and establish a territory. She could become a zombie lord. How cool did that sound?

Mu Yao: I see. And what does that have to do with this zombie right here? (Emphasis on "this zombie.")

Zombie Biter: QAQ.

Whatever the case, the territory got built.

The outside world has lost its water and electricity? Inside the territory, zombies run on treadmills to generate power, while residents take hot showers and marvel at how good life is.

Zombies roam the outside world? Inside the territory, the shopping street is thriving, and residents can claim a spirit pet for protection before heading out to kill zombies.

The outside world is cruel and treacherous? Inside the territory, residents help one another and build a new order.

What? Zombies are coming?

The residents are raring to go. From elderly women to seven-year-old girls, everyone grabs a weapon. "Wonderful! That's money coming our way!"

Killed a low-level zombie. Earned 5 zombie coins.

Today's income has arrived. ✅

The world didn't end when people turned into zombies.

Zombies are evolving, while humans have no special abilities. Instead, animals are growing stronger, gaining intelligence and developing abilities of their own.

A giant farm dog can swallow a zombie whole.

A fat orange cat can crush a zombie with its rear end.

The final stage of zombie evolution is to form an energy field from an overwhelming emotional fixation, then set the rules for survival within it.

Humans who enter are ensnared; zombies who enter lose their way.

Only Mu Yao, caught between the two, can stay clear-minded.

If that's the case, she'll break the rules and establish a new order for the world.

Years after the zombie apocalypse began, everyone had heard of a wondrous territory in Shenguang City.

Food and water were plentiful there, and its residents lived in peace and contentment.

People who gathered there looked at the territory, where life seemed just like it had before the apocalypse, and could hardly believe their eyes.

There were also rumors that this beautiful utopia was the domain of a Zombie King.

Could that be true?

Reader's guide:

1. This is a fictional setting! Do not compare it to the real world!

2. The heroine has no emotions or motivation early on, so the Zombie Biter System has to push her forward. Just enjoy unlocking the main quests.

3. The whole point is biting people: bite your enemies, bite the bad guys, take orders to bite people. Keep biting, and you'll build a shelter and start developing it (?).

4. There is a romance, but very little of it. The male lead is practically a background character, and the role is up for grabs.

5. The cannon fodder characters are here because the list of ex-boyfriends supplied by friends and family hasn't run out yet.

6. The inspiration for this blurb came from a strange idea I had on December 24, 2024, after working myself into hallucinations: wanting to bite everyone.

7. On August 29, 2025, the heroine's name was changed from Lin Yao to Mu Yao.

Today is another happy day for biting people (?).
