(I've had a lot going on lately, and I don't have my computer with me. I'll probably be back in August.)
In his previous life, Hiyori Chika was hopelessly in love. Though, that wasn't quite right.
He had simply met someone as a child who made him fall in love for a lifetime, yet he never confessed his feelings, not even before he died.
As his head hit the ground, he thought of many things: the person holding the blade before him, his parents lying dead on either side, his grandmother far away in the countryside... and the boy who had smiled and reached out to him beneath the winter sun.
If I have another life...
He looked at the injured man and reached out in pain, gently touching the man's tightly clenched fists.
Dear God, if I have another life, I hope I have healthy legs, so I can ■■
Dear God, if I have another life, I hope I have great strength, so I can ■■
I am willing to pay ■■ for it.
He was reborn, returning to a time before it all began.
He swore to reclaim everything that belonged to him!
"Hey, hey, Dami, stop showing Chika weird books all the time." The big dog with dark red fur expertly dug a hole, tossed in the dazzlingly colorful book, and buried it thoroughly before grabbing the gloomy bandage cat wearing a red scarf and carrying him away.
The two brown rabbit ears on his head suddenly drooped, covering his eyes.
"Chika," he heard Mr. Rabbit sigh. His voice was full of weary resignation. "Promise me you'll listen to Dami less next time, okay?"
He obediently nodded, then pulled the lop-eared rabbit into his arms and took a huge sniff, like he was seriously unwell.
"Got it! Tsunako, Tsunako, I'll fish for you in the lake today! This time, I'm definitely going to catch an ultra-star eel!"
"...All right. Don't forget your daily chores."
He put the lop-eared rabbit back in its special little nest on his head, picked up the hose beside him, and squeezed and kneaded it until it became a bizarre fishing rod. Humming a strange tune, he happily ran toward the lake.
That's right. He was a country farmer with a rabbit on his head, with no past and no future.
All he had was the all-purpose hose in his hands, Mr. Tsunako on his head, who loved to make snarky remarks, and the magical clam farm behind him.
As for everything about this strange world...
Why not ask the amazing 277 System?
A gentle, mature male voice rang in the ears of the boy and the rabbit.
"Congratulations, Host! You've finally caught... your thousandth soggy discarded exam paper. You're one step closer to becoming a senior farmer!"
"And what does that have to do with becoming a senior farmer?!"
The rabbit on his head numbly covered his eyes with his ears, trying to ignore the pile of trash beside them.
"Being able to pick out trash with pinpoint accuracy among all those resources is surely a combination of sharp eyes and deft hands. I imagine you'll soon achieve the 'Perfect' accomplishment."
"And what will the reward be then, 277?"
"I think... your dream will come true."
A dream come true? Chika instinctively touched his neck, where a hideous ring of stitches remained.
Do I have a dream?
Perhaps...
He raised his head and looked at the distant sky.
I hope everyone I love gets to see another spring.
The main story is a goofy, everyday farming-game tale. Most of the setting comes from Stardew Valley, but there are tons of wild alterations and all sorts of bizarre antics.
The story's world combines elements from Katekyo Hitman Reborn! and Jujutsu Kaisen, but both are alternate routes with bad endings. Of course, the great farmer will save the world while working the fields!
As the protagonist builds his farm, he'll bring home all sorts of strange creatures, including characters from various anime and even gloomy, crawling grad students.
