Fanfiction Reading Log
Seven stars: I check for updates whenever it's ongoing, and sometimes reread it after it's complete. It's my first choice when recommending this kind of story to others.
Six stars: I read updates while it's ongoing. I keep it in my collection after it ends, and recommend it when it comes to mind.
Five stars: While it's ongoing, I read the parts I'm interested in or skim through it. I remove it from my collection when it's complete and don't recommend it.
Four stars: I dropped it before it was complete. I won't keep reading or recommend it.
Three stars: Nothing grabs me, but nothing bothers me either. I get impatient after a few chapters and drop it.
Two stars: Something bothers me partway through, so I immediately close it.
One star: A huge landmine! An earth-shattering one! If I get the chance to talk about it, I won't rest until I've vented.
Don't think that we don't love the original works just because we read some fanfics that you don't like. No matter what, they are just fanfics and not as good as the original works. Writers of fan fiction are generally inexperienced people, so it is natural that their writing is not good. And because everyone has their own understanding of the original work, it is impossible to satisfy everyone. If you think someone else's writing is not good, either you don't use it to criticize, or you write a better one yourself, so that we can be convinced. The purpose of fan fiction is to find the part of yourself that is missing in the original work. Understand?
