My Dead White Moonlight Has Come Back to Life

In Yi Ze's eyes, Fang Jue was perfect in every way: capable and kind. Ever since Yi Ze could remember, a tiny seed had been planted in his heart. He liked Fang Jue. It was a secret he had never told anyone, but everyone knew.

And Fang Jue, the moonlight in Yi Ze's heart, did not disappoint. He followed the cardinal rule that a moonlight character should be dead, passing away without warning.

By an incredible coincidence, the day after Fang Jue died, a young man with an identical face appeared in Nancheng.

He called himself Fang Yu, claiming to be Fang Jue's younger twin brother, who had lived abroad for years. From the very first day he met Yi Ze, he started relentlessly pursuing him.

Despite having the same face, the brothers had completely different souls. Fang Yu was carefree and flirtatious, worlds apart from Fang Jue.

Facing the face of the person he loved every day, Yi Ze had thought this would turn into a body-and-heart-wrenching substitute romance. But in reality:

Fang Yu seemed incapable of understanding Yi Ze's distance. He pursued him passionately, no matter what.

Under Fang Yu's relentless pursuit, Yi Ze finally began to soften and tried to accept him.

But one rainy night, not long after, Yi Ze hauled the drunken Fang Yu back to a hotel. As he tried to take off the drunk man's soaked shirt, he spotted a scar identical in position and shape to Fang Jue's.

Three years ago, Meng Yu An was dumped through cold-shoulder treatment. He stood crying outside Lin Ling's door and demanded an explanation.

Three years later, Lin Ling's savings have been stolen by a friend, while Meng Yu An has run away from home with no money. They end up sharing a roof, seeing each other every time they look up or down.

You'd think he'd learn from experience, but Meng Yu An keeps making the same mistake, getting tangled up with Lin Ling all over again.

His friends warn him again and again not to be stupid. Meng Yu An steels himself and makes up a story: "He's good in bed. Once I've had my fun, I'll dump him hard."

Lin Ling, listening to the whole thing behind him, clenches his fists.

Fine. So you want my body? Then I'll make sure you can't look at anyone else ever again.

...As for dumping me hard, he didn't hear that part.

Meng Yu An keeps thinking Lin Ling has been acting like he's on drugs lately. He is secretly delighted that their relationship has made so much progress. At the height of passion, he asks:

"What are we now?"

Lin Ling pauses, thinks carefully, then answers with conviction: "Friends."

Meng Yu An: ?

Meng Yu An grits his teeth and kicks Lin Ling off him. "Get lost! I don't sleep with friends!"

Lin Ling has always hated being deceived. But when he learns that Meng Yu An is only after his body, he is strangely calm. He even tells a friend that as long as Meng Yu An is happy, he doesn't mind being the third party.

Later, he sees a regular customer at the shop holding flowers and passionately confessing to Meng Yu An.

Lin Ling, who was fine with being the third party, bolts out the door and pulls Meng Yu An into his arms. "I'm his boyfriend. Show some respect!"
