Officer Hagiwara, newly transferred to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, encounters a supernatural incident on his very first night shift.
Legend has it that the wronged spirits of people who died unjustly keep reliving the scenes of their deaths. Any living person who strays into their domain becomes a substitute victim, allowing the ghost to find peace.
But just as he is driven step by step onto a Ferris wheel, an arm suddenly yanks him down. With an irritated click of the tongue, a handsome, curly-haired ghost throws him out of the gondola.
Then the ghost himself steps back into the blaze of the explosion.
Stunned by this turn of events, Hagiwara Kenji blinks. A wave of dizziness washes over him, and he wakes up.
Hagiwara x Matsuda. They are not childhood friends. Matsuda Jinpei wasn't in the same police academy class as the others. He was a year ahead of them, their senior. He'll meet the others later on. Matsuda's death was part of a conspiracy by the Organization, and as they search for the truth, their feelings will gradually grow. Features a ghost with incomplete memories, workplace supernatural comedy, and a dose of the paranormal to shake up the Detective Conan world.
