The two upcoming novels have the same protagonists but different plots. Lately, I'm in the mood for love-hate relationships and mutually destructive romance, so save whichever one suits your tastes. I'll see which one interests me more and start that one first.
Leon Price was born in East Germany. A notorious playboy in football, he wandered from place to place with his younger siblings. His labels were money-loving and heartless.
Borussia Dortmund's youth academy was his home. He had even kissed the badge when a goal left him overwhelmed with emotion. But his home abandoned him because he was too weak, and from then on, Leon's love turned to hate.
Whenever he came up against his old home, he showed no mercy, striking them hard. The more they hated Leon, the more he enjoyed it, celebrating with wild provocation.
When a reporter asked if he would ever go home, he replied defiantly, "Never. Any club is better than Borussia Dortmund. Unless I've gone insane, I'll never go back!"
In the eyes of outsiders, Leon and Reus were two poor souls torn apart: both handsome, with similar builds (?), and even cast aside for the same reason.
And yet...
Reporter: Are you still in touch with Reus?
Leon: There's no need. He and I were never the same kind of person.
Reporter: What do you think about his return to Dortmund? Is it a kind of betrayal?
Leon: That's his home. I always knew that one day he'd go home alone. I won't hand the weapon that hurt me to someone else. Loyalty? Don't talk to me about loyalty. Loyalty is worth shit. Loyal people never get a happy ending! I hope he gets what he deserves!
Reus: I should have known all along. He hates me.
Love and hate are both such heavy words. When it comes down to it, who can really say what love and hate are?
P.S. 1. The male lead is a bad guy. He's sick, genuinely mentally ill. Both of them have exes! After leaving Dortmund's youth academy, the male lead moves between various clubs.
2. Some awards are made up! The author is a casual football fan and doesn't know much about tactics, so please be gentle (prostrates).
3. There may be a tiny bit of bittersweet tension between Leon and Marco (okay, maybe a little more than a tiny bit).
Theme: Stay true to your convictions and don't let the outside world dictate your path, and you can succeed
