Whether in Sound or Silence

Fu'er was just an ordinary cat.

Dazed and half-asleep, it lived in Miss Le's boudoir, playing and passing the days like any other pet.

Until, stubbornly following Miss Le when she married, it saw with its own eyes as she was treated like an object, belittled and abused...

Watching it all and listening to its mistress cry and plead, the cat suddenly felt defeated and helpless.

If only it weren't a cat. If only it could walk and move like a person. If only it could fight back like a person.

If it were human, with a human's long lifespan, it could stay by Dian Qin's side and live and die with her...
