Monster attacks have been happening frequently lately. After Uncle Long sends her to Japan, Xiaoyu discovers that she now has a whole bunch of guardians.
She meets them one by one. They're men and women, young and middle-aged.
Xiaoyu's first guardian is called Hikariishi Ibuki.
Ibuki is still a college student, but surely looking after an elementary-school kid can't be too hard.
Xiaoyu notices that her guardian often goes out to work part-time to earn money for donuts. It seems he's raising a child named Butch, and now he has her to look after, too.
Then one day, a monster appears...
Xiaoyu grabs Butch and runs to get away from the monster. When she looks back, Butch has slipped out of her grasp and grown up, suddenly reaching a height of sixty meters.
"...Huh? Hey, Butch, that's so cool!"

Xiaoyu's second guardian is called Hise Yuma.
Yuma doesn't talk much and rarely shows much expression. His home is cold and bare, with nothing but paintings and mirrors. Of course, it would be better if red figures didn't keep drifting through the mirrors.
After noticing this strange phenomenon, Xiaoyu gathers the mirrors in Yuma's home and tries chanting, "Demons and monsters, go away! Demons and monsters, go away!"
Then one day, the monster comes again...
Yuma is about to transform when he discovers that all the mirrors in his home have been stolen and Xiaoyu is missing. "...!"

Xiaoyu's third guardian is called Hiruma Gento.
Gento says he works in the logistics department of the Defense Force. Equipment maintenance and inspections sometimes keep him from coming home for days at a time, so he repeatedly warns Xiaoyu to stay home and wait for him.
Then one day, the monster comes yet again...
After wandering around the Defense Force's logistics department, Xiaoyu blows her bangs aside and discovers that Gento doesn't actually work there at all.
Gento: "?"

Xiaoyu's guardian whose number she's lost count of is called Kurenai Kai, a wandering traveler.
He says he comes from a very, very distant place and is only staying here for a while. He likes playing the harmonica and eating all kinds of delicious food. He's even so strong that he can beat the oddly dressed bad guys to a pulp with sheer force.
Then one day, the monster comes yet again...
Xiaoyu sternly rescues a suited-up uncle who is standing still beneath the monster's feet. She pats her chest and flashes her white teeth. "No need to thank me!"

Xiaoyu's next guardian is Oozora Daichi, a young scientist.
Even when dressed casually, the scientist wears a white lab coat. He carries a phone-like device and often talks to it. Wow, a genius scientist who keeps a cyber girlfriend in his device!
The device is incredibly smart. It can even scan the talisman in her hand...
"Maybe I should call Uncle Long and tell him I'm doing just fine here!"

As her guardians keep multiplying, Xiaoyu notices a serious problem.
Every monster looks different, and every Ultraman looks different, too. But none of the Ultramen have been blown up, so Xiaoyu is puzzled. Why is it that an Ultraman who appeared last time never shows up again the next time?
The Ultraman guardians wipe their faces in despair. "..."
Of course it's because after transforming to help your guardian defeat the monster, we immediately become your guardian! When would we have the chance to transform again?
# If the juniors can't handle a kid they can't keep an eye on, then of course the seniors have to take care of them!
# Riku: Do I have to look after a kid, too?
# Keep passing the kid along, and eventually she'll end up with Daigo.
# If even Daigo can't keep an eye on her, then we'll all watch her together.
# So the question is, can they still transform without a hitch?
There are too many characters to fit them all in the blurb, so I picked a few and listed them in order from youngest to oldest. There's a little crossover with the previous story, and the regulars are back for more cameos. Otherwise, it wouldn't get approved. I haven't finished watching Omega, though, so I might still be unable to include Chuhito. I'll rewatch Jackie Chan Adventures when I have time.
