Ning Qingxi transmigrates.
Her family is destitute, with nothing to their name. Looking at her younger brother and sister, skin and bones, Ning Qingxi can't bear it.
So she goes out to find work. Luckily, she has a skill to fall back on. By tending other people's flowers, Ning Qingxi can just about make ends meet.
One day, she goes out and sees a wealthy merchant holding a garden-design competition. The contestants are all famous garden designers from the capital.
Ning Qingxi pinches her empty money pouch, which wouldn't make a sound no matter how much she shook it, and signs up through her tears.
It's just garden design, right? I can do this!
Later, Ning Qingxi makes a name for herself throughout the capital. Her designs become so sought-after that one drawing is worth a fortune, and she creates one classic garden after another.
Even princes come to her door in person to ask for designs.
Ning Qingxi takes a look and says, "Leave it for now. If I'm in the mood one day, you can cut in line."
