The spotted hyena, known on the East African savanna as "Africa's second-in-command," is also called the "ass-ripping fiend."

Li Siming, a lifelong believer in materialism, has his worldview shattered overnight. Terrified that if he dies, the spotted hyena will scavenge his corpse, he stubbornly hangs on until the Space-Time Administration finally arrives.

"She's caused so much trouble in my life! Why can't you deal with this seriously? Why can't you take her away?"

The director gives Li Siming a helpless look and tries to reason with him. "She's an international student from Africa. This is a historical legacy issue, so we have to consider the international fallout."

Li Siming breaks down in tears, but the director just smiles, pats his shoulder, and encourages him.

"Protecting wildlife is a heartwarming story for the whole world!"

Much later, Duan Kaile hears that his buddy is going to settle in Africa and finally can't help asking,

"Marrying into an African family?! Are you going to be a househusband in a chief's tribe?"

"No, it's even more primitive than that."

Li Siming sighs. "I'm going to the East African savanna."

"Oh, the savanna? How's the transportation where you're marrying in? Do you have a car?"

"No, we get around on foot."

"What about a house? No car, but surely you have a house?"

When Li Siming still shakes his head, Duan Kaile asks nervously, "Are you renting?"

"It's worse than that. We squat there, and sometimes we're evicted."

Duan Kaile furrows his brow. "Evicted? Isn't that a bit unstable?"

Li Siming smiles, though his expression is tinged with despair. "It's all right. When the rainy season comes, we have to head south, then return north in July."
