Witnessing a murder scene triggers Kawana Nao’s panic disorder. Overwhelmed by stress, she throws up, accidentally activating a choice:

That is, until one day she falls asleep in the grass and wakes up after dark.

But can someone tell her why the town’s streets look different at night than they do during the day?
