A Guide to Raising Insectoid Villains

The novel From Earth to the Insect World tells the story of Lin Feng, a human from Earth who dies and transmigrates to the insect world of Azbohan. There, he and the male insect Meier overcome one hardship after another and eventually fall in love.

But all that sweet romance has nothing to do with the villain.

Well, that isn't quite true. On closer inspection, you could say that about eighty percent of the hardships Lin Feng and the male insect Meier face come from the villain.

Yes, the villain is a villain.

Villains usually have unhappy childhoods: a gambling father, a sick mother, a little brother to care for, and a frail child struggling to get by. But the villain's circumstances were the exact opposite.

When the villain was young, his family could be called harmonious.

Then one day, completely out of the blue, his male insect father resorted to every trick in the book and threatened to kill himself unless his female insect father divorced him. From that day on, the young villain's whole world came crashing down.

He was no longer the treasured darling of the Stella family. He became Perfidus, forever despised by his male father.
