Naruto Pre-Release: Collecting S-Rank Fighters in the Ninja World

When Kazama Shiori logged into this ninja adventure game, she had no idea what she was getting into.

Main quest: The Otsutsuki army will descend upon the ninja world in one year. Hurry and contract an S-rank fighter to form a squad and fight them!

Of the two factions, "Konohagakure" and "Amegakure," she chose "Amegakure."

Current quest: Take part in the operation to capture the Nine-Tails and contract an S-rank fighter, Itachi!

Thinking it was just a beginner's quest, she challenged Itachi outright. She never expected to be taken down by Tsukuyomi seventeen times.

Shiori drags herself up from unconsciousness, gritting her teeth. "There is definitely something wrong with this game's difficulty settings!"

When she hears that Itachi is about to fight Konoha's white-haired ninja, she decides to take advantage of the situation! The black-haired young man leans against a stone wall, coughing violently, his pale cheeks flushed with a sickly red. Shiori gently wipes the blood from his lips...

Congratulations! You have obtained the S-rank fighter Itachi, sickly form!

Long-term quest: Collect tailed beast chakra and forcibly contract the Ten-Tails!

By the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path underground, Madara's chakra avatar watches her coldly. "A mere insect dares covet the power of the Ten-Tails?"

Shiori: What is that thing saying?

Helpful tip: Raising the favor of faction leaders can speed up collection!

So Pain notices that the new member keeps showing up with three-color dango for him, and always manages to track down his location. But when will she realize he doesn't like sweets?

At first, Shiori thinks the masked man who says, "Hey, newbie-chan, wanna team up with Tobi?~" while swaying his hips and sidling up to her is just a goofy NPC. Then the System displays: [S-rank fighter detected: Obito].

Shiori: This S-rank guy... isn't quite right in the head, is he?

A year later, Shiori has collected the chakra of all nine tailed beasts and is about to contract the Ten-Tails when the System suddenly updates the mental status screen.

Emergency: Multiple bonds in conflict detected! Resolve immediately! Avoid triggering the corruption ending!

The contractors' dark mental traits flash before her eyes: self-destruction tendency 97%, pain dependence 99%, paranoid fragmentation 99%...

Shiori: So all my teammates are mentally unstable?!

[Reading guide] Third-person narration. A free-spirited player heroine who will do whatever it takes to win over S-rank fighters! Lighthearted, a reverse harem otome, with multiple endings.

*It's been so long since I read the original that my memories of the plot are fuzzy. I'll reread it after a while, and may tweak this blurb too~

Theme: Follow the light and find beauty.
