Yin Sha first met Chen Meng on a rainy night when she had nowhere to go.

In the newly opened bookstore, Chen Meng wore a light pink qipao. Her brown hair was pinned up, with a pink begonia tucked beside her temple. She leaned halfway out from behind the counter to look at Yin Sha.

Fashionable and beautiful, she seemed completely out of place in the backward little town.

Yin Sha thought they would never have anything to do with each other.

By chance, she got a part-time job at the bookstore. Spending her days with Chen Meng, she discovered that Chen Meng wasn't quite what she'd imagined.

Chen Meng noticed her little cuts and carefully applied medicine. She paid attention to her low moods, remembered the things she left unsaid, and found all kinds of excuses to give her clothes and shoes, calling them employee benefits.

She smiled as she wrapped a scarf around Yin Sha in the snow, invited her to stroll together along a moonlit road, and finally held her in the warmth of a room on a rainy night.

Lightning flashed through a gap in the curtains, illuminating Chen Meng's gentle, tranquil face. Yin Sha heard her own heartbeat, louder than the thunder.

At first, Chen Meng had impulsively offered Yin Sha a part-time job at the bookstore simply because she'd felt sorry for her.

But Yin Sha was sweet and obedient, especially when she gazed at Chen Meng with those big, pleading black eyes. She could melt anyone's heart.

Whenever Yin Sha looked at her like that, Chen Meng couldn't bring herself to say no. She even found herself indulging Yin Sha before she'd made a request. After all, Yin Sha was always calling her big sister. What was wrong with spoiling her a little?

It wasn't until Yin Sha started keeping her distance one day that Chen Meng thought Yin Sha was simply afraid of getting her into trouble. She didn't think much of it, until she was tidying up the room and came across a picture that plainly revealed Yin Sha's feelings.

Yin Sha had once had a wildly improper dream. She dreamed Chen Meng had become the sleeping Snow White, while she herself was a prince, urged by a fairy to kiss her.

The next moment, she woke up. Unable to forget it, she drew the scene from her dream and, indulging her private wish, let the "prince" have her way.

When the heroine sees her wake, a blush appears on her cool, pale face.

"I know you like me, but don't push yourself too hard."

Can someone tell her why the heroine can hear her thoughts and knows about the System shocking her? Also, when did she start liking her?

The delicate heroine lists her reasons one by one: You rescued my dog, and you'd rather be punished than hurt me. And...

Yin Xiaoxiao gets more and more confused as she listens. Aside from the punishment, she did those little things without thinking. How are they all connected to the heroine? And why is the heroine's face getting redder and redder?
