I Cosplayed as Nakigitsune and Took Over My Own Citadel

The law of conservation of bad luck really never lets me down.

I’d just finished congratulating myself on my incredible luck when the familiar transmigration trope suddenly played out right before my eyes, right at the entrance to the Touken Ranbu convention I’d been dreaming of attending.

I looked down at myself: I was cosplaying my own original take on Nakigitsune... I hadn’t even given myself any kind of backstory. I was just wearing ears and a tail and red contact lenses. And I have to go through this kind of ordeal?!

This is just too unreasonable!

Even more bizarrely, the "Honmaru" from my game seemed to have come along with me.

Or maybe it had always been here, and the "me" from before simply couldn’t see it?

Faced with this absurd turn of events and a group of sword spirits who had suddenly become impossibly real,

after the initial confusion, I chose to accept my fate instead of cowering or giving up.

Since I was already here, and stuck in this "frail body from the start," it seemed I had no choice but to accept it.

And yet, the "everyone" at the Honmaru was more wonderful than I could have imagined.

Their care was meticulous, their presence warm and unwavering.

In this bizarre otherworld, the Honmaru that had come into being because of me became my only anchor.

Perhaps this wasn’t simply a fantasy or a streak of bad luck?

Perhaps I, too, could become a small source of salvation for this Honmaru, and even this world?

The story starts with a frail protagonist. I’ve finally gone after the Touken Ranbu I love most.

OOC is on me. The swords at my Honmaru belong to me, and the swords at everyone else’s Honmaru belong to them.

Updates when inspiration strikes, but I love this story, so it’s unlikely to be abandoned.
