--------Coming Soon-----------
After placing last in the annual Hehuan Sect evaluation two years in a row, the love interest is forced to leave the mountain and find himself a cultivation partner.
He can't beat sword cultivators, and he doesn't like the smell of medicinal herbs that fills the homes of healer and alchemist cultivators. Forcing himself on someone is out of the question. On his way to try his luck in a secret realm, he comes across an unconscious cultivator, gravely wounded.
Even luckier, the cultivator has lost his memory.
Under the protagonist's hesitant gaze, he takes the protagonist's hand and, fighting back his embarrassment, explains: You're my cultivation partner. You were badly hurt protecting me on our way down the mountain, and you hit your head. You don't remember anything.
The protagonist has lost his memory, but not his intelligence, and of course he doesn't believe him. He can tell the love interest is bad at lying and even worse at taking care of people. He burns meals, boils medicine dry, and can't get the laundry clean. But the love interest did save his life, and he ought to repay that kindness.
So he accepts his supposed role as the love interest's cultivation partner.
With his evaluation taken care of, the love interest can finally breathe a sigh of relief.
Later, the protagonist makes a name for himself at the cultivation partner competition, and the whole sect learns that the love interest has brought home a partner who can charm a room, cook up a feast, write and fight with equal skill.
Later still, the protagonist's fellow disciples come looking for him.
It turns out the protagonist isn't some nameless cultivator. He's the Sword Pavilion's First Senior Brother, the most promising candidate for ascension and the foremost cultivator of the Heartless Dao in the world.
