[The X-Family] When the Dark Clouds Come, It Rains

"When the dark clouds roll in, the rain will fall~"

Xia Yu's life motto is never to invest his time or money in anything with high costs and no returns, like dating.

Then one day, he realized that the resolve he'd held to for twenty-one years seemed to be wavering, just a little.

A guy named Wuyun, who claimed to have no supernatural abilities but could read his mind anytime, anywhere, suddenly fell from the sky. Xia Yu was dragged into a deadly pursuit, and Wuyun took an arrow for him, left covered in blood and barely clinging to life.

Xia Yu came away from the ordeal with a blessing in disguise: the supernatural ability he'd yearned for over nearly twenty years had returned.

But this also bound him to her by a pact. From then on, their lives and deaths were intertwined, and they would walk the same path.

She could read every emotion in his heart, and understood, before anyone else, the regrets and pain he never voiced.

Even his heart, forged from steel and concrete, began to soften a little.

To Wuyun, there are no secrets in this world that she cannot uncover.

She can easily see into the hearts of everyone around her, and likewise, see everyone's future.

But one day, she finally realized that being able to see the future might itself be the cruelest torture of all.

The threads of fate may twist and turn, but they all lead to the same unchanging end.

After meeting Xia Yu, she could no longer walk calmly toward that end.

"Let's not stay here. Come back with me to when we were eighteen, and hide beneath the azaleas on the NTU campus. Let's not let fate find us.", Jian Zhen
