Breaking Off a Branch

Snow falls in countless layers, a branch broken off and offered to another.

Three hundred years ago, Shen Qingyu went alone to the demon realm. After putting down a rebellion among the demon clans, he returned to the Heavenly Court, only to discover that everyone in his family but him had been banished to the mortal world.

For all sorts of ridiculous reasons.

To help his family overcome their tribulations, he descended to the mortal realm, spent a few days there, and happened to fall in love along the way.

Chu Yuyan saved the person he loved, only to be forgotten by them. Worse still, after years together, his lover kicked him aside without a shred of mercy.
