When the Dynasties Started Watching My Composition Class [Historical Livestream]

After her first lecture video went viral, Chu Tang reopened a new topic at the request of her commenters. Once again, she used Chinese textbooks as her foundation, explaining how to turn texts into material for their own compositions. The old-timers, who had kept their water mirrors even after their worldviews were shaken, joined Teacher Chu's new class once again. And so "On Teachers": Whether boldly defying convention to become a teacher or launching the classical prose movement to reverse eight generations of decline, Han Yu was always full of the courage to do what he knew was difficult. Li Shimin and the writers and common people of the Tang proudly puffed out their chests: Hey, the Tang won again! "The Story of Stone Bell Mountain": Su Shi taught us a thousand years ago that we should dare to question and explore, and how to approach the flood of information around us. The Song delegation smiled and said: The Song wasn't so bad, either! "An Account of Xiangji Pavilion": The love of family is often woven into ordinary, trivial moments, just as Zhu Ziqing gazed at his father's back and only later realized he was in tears. Zhu Yuanzhang leaned back in surprise: Good, good, good! The Ming has a place in this story, too! "On the Six States": Those who win the people's hearts win the world. Once they lose the people's support, even the strongest armies and the mightiest ships and cannons are useless. From Qin Shi Huang to the modern age, history has shown this time and again. Liu Che, who had been jealous for a long time, and the officials and common people of the Han were finally satisfied: Long live the Han! Qin, once again used as a negative example: ... No matter, even infamy is fame! But later, the lessons turned to "A Letter to My Wife": What kind of responsibility does a young person take on when striving to secure eternal happiness for all the people? "Farewell, Britannia": Behind the blossoming bauhinia flower lies the unremitting struggle of countless Chinese people. "In Memory of Miss Liu Hezhen": If there is no torch from now on, then I will be the only light. In every age, talented people arise, each holding sway for centuries. The old-timers were moved and envious at the same time: How can we compete with that? The people of later generations have cheat codes! [Note: This series covers Chinese language and literature. It will feature more modern texts, so pick and choose as you like.] Theme: A literary spirit that has endured for a thousand years, still shining bright.
