Synopsis
Chu Lianxue transmigrates into a book and becomes the only absolute powerhouse whose inner strength retains its value.
Her original character is a frail princess who was supposed to get killed off from the start to make way for the plot.
After Chu Lianxue smashes the martial roots of the newly risen Long Aotian with one punch in the arena, women who can temper purer inner strength become the backbone of the succession.
From then on, everyone looks at Chu Lianxue differently.
The scheming eldest legitimate son of the prime minister's household bends his proud spine.
The pampered flower of nobility kneels at night in a light, translucent robe, his movements awkward and his face flushed.
Under Chu Lianxue's cold gaze, the young man offers his family's power as a betrothal gift, his shoulders trembling as he dares not meet her eyes.
"My wife..."
Chu Lianxue casually folds the list of gifts he offers with both hands, lightly pats his face, and scoffs:
"Why are you calling me that? Didn't you break off our engagement long ago?"
The foreign prince who always says the people of the Central Plains are boring pretends to be obedient so he can stay.
The young man suppresses his spoiled nature beneath the palace's strict rules, washing his hands to make her soup and working hard to become a virtuous, charming partner.
Awakening from a nightmare, he whines through his tears and carefully catches the corner of Chu Lianxue's robe.
"Big Sister, can you hold me?"
She leans lazily against the armrest and replies with leisurely sarcasm:
"We don't do that sort of thing in the Central Plains. How about I send you home instead?"
As Chu Lianxue defeats one great ruler after another, even the Grand Tutor, who was once only to be admired from afar, sheds his stern demeanor.
The mature, graceful young man lies across a desk, stretching into an alluring pose like an orchid in the daylight.
He takes Chu Lianxue's hand and draws it to his body, his eyes brimming with longing.
"Your Majesty, please put me to use."
Chu Lianxue handles him with ease, grasping his chin.
"Teacher, you taught me to be composed. Have you forgotten?"
Chu Lianxue has no desire to understand what men are thinking, nor does she care how they rack their brains to figure her out or claw at one another for her favor and a smile.
Chu Lianxue strides along the path to the throne, joining the peerless women to compete for the world. She is destined to claim it all.
