Alas, a Thief

*A cold-on-the-outside, soft-hearted detective x a mischievous little thief (now a constable)

*Light mystery, mainly comedy

With a hand that reaches into the shadows, Shenshou is a thief. Mingqi is a renowned detective feared across the land.

The detective always wears an expression of iron and never takes it off. The thief can snatch things in passing and never leaves empty-handed.

Until one day, that filthy hand reaches for the bright moon. The thief steals something from the detective, and by all appearances, there's no way out of this dead end.

But just as the thief waits for death, the detective says, "Come with me to Mingguang Hall."

Shenshou is stunned.

That's the bureau that catches the most wicked criminals in the land. What would a petty thief sentenced to death do there?

"You have to choose between being a corpse and becoming a constable."

Shenshou gets it.

So now she's going to be a law-abiding thief!

I have a pair of rotten hands, yet I can steal the moon from the sky.

*Ensemble cast, set in a fictional world

*Characters have defined combat abilities, but this isn't a martial arts story
