The Substitute

#The Ex Who Comes Crawling Back#

Xia Wen had loved Zhou Xin for years when she accidentally found out that she was nothing more than a replacement.

Zhou Xin had always loved someone else.

And that someone was none other than Xia Wen's older sister, Xia Yun.

Heartbroken, Xia Wen asked to break up.

It was raining in Beicheng the day she left.

Zhou Xin stood before the floor-to-ceiling window. The dim yellow light traced the gentle curves of her face, and her voice was colder than the night. "You really want to break up?"

Xia Wen: "Yes."

-

Zhou Xin always thought Xia Wen's breakup was just a childish tantrum, and that she'd be back before long.

After all, Xia Wen loved her more than life itself. She had even given Zhou Xin one of her kidneys to save her.

Someone like her couldn't possibly bear to leave for good.

But as time passed, Zhou Xin finally realized the truth: Xia Wen wasn't coming back. She really was done with her.

In a panic, Zhou Xin went to Xia Wen's friend and begged for a chance to see her, only to be told that Xia Wen had already left.

-

They met again three years later.

Kneeling before Xia Wen, Zhou Xin pleaded desperately, "Wenwen, it was all my fault. Please, don't leave me."
