After Being Pursued by an Eight-Foot-Tall Woman from the Start
I feel like my story's genre is getting more and more confusing.
Mori Hima thought urban legends were just stories, that 99% of them were fake. He never expected to encounter one of the real ones.
One summer night while vacationing in the countryside, his childhood friend Yae revealed their true form. They were about forty centimeters taller than two meters, and he blurted out, "An eight-foot-tall woman?"
Yae smiled. He cried, took a train back to Tokyo that very night, bought a bunch of protective charms, and left salt by the front door.
Things stayed calm for a while, and he started to think that summer night had been a dream. Then one day, Mori saw a tall, unfamiliar boy standing at his door. He said he was a new neighbor and had brought a gift. His name was Yaga.
Yaga wasn't just his neighbor. He also became the new transfer student in his class.
Quite a few boys saw his height and face and exclaimed,
"There goes our chance with the girls."
As Yaga's neighbor, Mori thought he was strange. Whenever Mori went out, he always seemed to run into him. When he accidentally touched Yaga's skin, its chill reminded him of someone. Then he saw that the salt by his door had turned black, and it finally clicked: the eight-foot-tall woman had moved from the countryside to Tokyo to go to school.

Yae Rin was the odd one out in the Yae family.
When he was very young, he was sent to the countryside and left to fend for himself.
A lot of people said he was an eight-foot-tall woman,
and that one day he would reveal his true form and kill everyone he wanted dead.
Yae Rin didn't care about what people said. His attention was fixed on Mahane, the boy next door in the countryside.
Every time Mahane came to see him, it was the happiest moment for Yae.
But happy times never lasted. When Mahane's family moved away during middle school,
Yae Rin could feel his body changing without Mahane around. By the time they met again, he had completely transformed into the eight-foot-tall woman everyone had always said he would become.
Yae smiled at Mahane as he opened the door.
Found you.
Reader's Guide:
1. Gender-swapped Eight-Foot-Tall Woman.
2. A crossover with lots of anime, both horror and slice-of-life.
3. I came up with this idea in 2023 and wanted to write a little of it.
Coming Soon: [About How I Want to Use Tomie's Body as Flower Fertilizer]
Blurb:
About how I want to use Tomie's body as flower fertilizer.
I've really been thinking about it for a long time.
I'm a forest spirit living in seclusion in the human world.
I like humans, and I'm especially fond of their schools,
so I decided to attend a human high school and observe them.
In my third year, I fell for the transfer student, Tomie. Everyone else was fascinated by him too.
He had an extraordinarily beautiful face, and a strange aura that made people want to lose themselves and go mad.
I loved his face, but I was even more interested in the dazzling fragrance of death that surrounded him, so intense it seemed ready to bring about his destruction at any moment.
If someone like him died, his body would make flower fertilizer, and the flowers that grew from it would surely be the most beautiful in the world.
I decided to get close to him so that, before he died, he would let me take care of his body.
I thought it would take a long time, but two months later, he died, surrounded by the scent of death.
What's more, someone tried to bury him to hide the evidence.
My reason struggled with itself. If I ignored the fact that Tomie had been murdered, I could get my flower fertilizer without a hitch. But if I didn't report it, Tomie's soul wouldn't be able to rest in peace.
After thinking it over, I decided to call the police.
My heart bled as the police took Tomie's body away. I knew that after all the procedures, his ashes would end up with his family, and I wouldn't get any of them.
I thought my connection with Tomie had ended there, but a week later, he appeared in the classroom.
What was going on? Was he... not dead?
No, wait. Does this mean I can still go through with my plan?
But what happened next was beyond anything I could have imagined.
The Tomie I first met really had died. The one who appeared afterward was a clone, and there was more than one.
Any part of Tomie's body, even his blood, could split off and become a new Tomie. He could die, but he would keep being reborn.
I had mixed feelings about this.
Because it seemed like I'd never be able to get his complete corpse to use as flower fertilizer again.
When the Tomies learned what I had in mind, they got angry at first and accused me of having such an evil thought. Then they tried their hardest to talk me into killing the impostor and burning its body, so I'd have flower fertilizer.
Me: "Don't tempt me. I'm not someone who goes around committing crimes."
Tomie: "If you don't want to kill anyone, why are you holding a knife?"
Me: "...I just want to cut some tofu."

The relationship between the protagonists in this article is really strong. It's just a pity that it's too short and I didn't enjoy it at all.
The writing is really average. I recommend updating 50,000 words a day ([]bushi
