"A beautiful, tenaciously ambitious woman x a devoted, guiding lover"
Leng Shihe is the center of everyone's attention, but she always gives people the impression that she's unapproachable. Over time, fewer and fewer people dare to get close to her.
He's dazzling at university and the person his classmates most want to date. After a chance encounter, he falls for her and goes out of his way to spend time with her.
Before long, news of their relationship spreads across campus. Everyone is surprised that two people so different from each other have gotten together.
Their classmates assume that two such proud people won't last long, but they stay together until graduation.
They meet again at a friend's wedding and treat each other coldly, like strangers, without so much as speaking. The guests speculate that their breakup must have ended badly.
Leng Shihe thinks they'll never see each other again, but the very next day he moves in next door.
Back then, Leng Shihe suddenly asked to break up. He couldn't understand why. Just a little while earlier, they'd been so close they were inseparable. He asked her for a reason.
Leng Shihe said, "I never loved you. I only agreed to date you because you pursued me so relentlessly and your sincerity softened me. Being with you is so boring, and you're nothing like the rumors say. You're not charming at all."
Her words wounded him. He resolutely agreed to break up and swore he'd never go back to her. But now he's the one eating his words. Whenever he sees Leng Shihe upset, he can't help caring for her.
No matter what the world around her is like, she fearlessly keeps running forward.
