This is a story about "ordinary girl Su Nian". Like many high school students, she has average grades and an introverted personality. She is used to hiding in the corner of the classroom, observing others, and stuffing all her worries into a locked notebook. Until her sophomore year in high school, she accidentally spilled Oden soup on Chen Xinghe, a popular figure on campus in a convenience store - the senior who was a good player at the ball, had a bright smile, and even his name seemed to have its own brilliance.
What I thought was an embarrassing accident turned out to be Su Nian's life quietly changing. She began to pay uncontrollable attention to Chen Xinghe: she saw the way he sweated on the basketball court, listened to his laughter playing with his friends, and even discovered that under his careless appearance, he would secretly help her organize the messed up notes. This love hidden deep in her heart was like oden under the warm light of a convenience store, steaming, sweet and a little astringent, making her want to get closer, but at the same time shrink back due to inferiority complex.
In order to catch up with that "glowing" figure, Su Nian did something she had never dared to think of before: she started studying hard and wrote down the university Chen Xinghe wanted to enter on the title page of her textbook. When she was chewing on math problems under the light of evening study hall, and when she mustered up the courage to raise her hand to answer the question, she discovered that the person who was once out of reach had actually noticed the girl hiding in the corner.
There are no dramatic scenes in the story, only real daily life on the high school campus: passing each other in the corridor, sneak peeks at the basketball court, shared desk lamps in the library, and those unspoken little thoughts hidden in the graffiti of homework books. This is a story about "secret love" and "growth" - we have all looked up to a certain beam of light in our youth, and when you run desperately to get close to him, you will eventually find that you have become a better version of yourself without knowing it.
Intention: secret love
