A Lucky Couple in the 1970s

(The old title was hard to remember, and the blurb was incomplete, so I changed everything. The original title was The Young Couple of 1970.)

When seventeen-year-old Huo Mianshan graduated from high school, his parents and brothers teamed up to trick him into becoming an educated youth sent to the countryside. He had only twenty yuan, a quilt, and a toothbrush. He had nothing else.

Seventeen-year-old Yun Xiaoxiao also graduated from high school. Her parents coaxed her into going to the countryside as an educated youth in her older brother's place. She had twenty yuan more than Huo Mianshan, as well as two towels, a pair of cloth shoes, and a pair of socks.

Once, they were both unlucky, betrayed and abandoned by their closest family. But later, they were lucky after all. In the confusion and loneliness of their youth, they met the love of their lives.

They married at twenty and became an enviably lucky couple, with good fortune in abundance. They got jobs at a steel mill, met benefactors, and lived exciting lives with a touch of sweetness.
