After living in this world for a while, Jiang Nianyu realizes that this fictional world has no logic, the plot is brainless, the male lead is all swagger and no substance, and she must be nuts for writing such garbage.

So Jiang Nianyu transforms into a doctor who diagnoses people every day:

"There's something wrong with this stupid System!"

Jiang Nianyu takes on the whole world, even slapping herself twice when she gets worked up. But the only person she kisses is the novel's heroine, Jin Yu.

"How is our little Yu so clever? How is our little Yu so beautiful? How is our little Yu so adorable? Our little Yu is the most precious baby of all, the sweetest little angel!"

The System is baffled. "Aren't both the male and female leads your children? Why do you treat them differently?"

Jiang Nianyu says solemnly, "I only have one daughter, Jin Yu. Just so we're clear!"

Jiang Nianyu takes care of the scheming villainess, the disgusting male supporting character who won't take no for an answer, and all the vile plot contrivances that keep cropping up just so the male lead can swoop in from nowhere and play the hero.

The System breaks down. "You've done everything the male lead is supposed to do. What is he supposed to do now? How can their relationship develop?"

Jiang Nianyu scoffs. "Why should I care?"

The System can't bear to watch and decides to leave her to it. But when it sees Jiang Nianyu feeding the heroine bite by bite, it can't hold back any longer.

"You're not her mother!"

Jiang Nianyu retorts, "I really am her mother!"

The System is in a bind. It can't exactly tell Jiang Nianyu, "You think of Jin Yu as your daughter, but Jin Yu wants to sleep with you!"

This is supposed to be a Mary Sue romance, for heaven's sake!

Jiang Nianyu is set on raising Jin Yu as her daughter, but somehow, she's raised her all wrong!

Jin Yu grips Jiang Nianyu by the throat and kisses her. "I'm going to class. You stay home and wait for me. Don't go anywhere. Otherwise, you'll face the consequences!"

Alarm bells ring in Jiang Nianyu's head. Isn't this a Mary Sue romance? Isn't Jin Yu supposed to be a sweet, delicate little flower? Isn't Jiang Nianyu her mother?

Can someone tell me what on earth is going on?
