Taking the System's advice, Chu Qing makes changes overnight. She buys a pile of suppressants, puts them in separate beds, locks all her clothes in a wardrobe, buys a plane ticket to escape overseas, and hires Mei Zhichun a housekeeper.

Mei Zhichun's point of view

Her sister is all alone, and they aren't related by blood. Yet she has done everything for her.

Mei Zhichun fell in love with her, but she was too cowardly to change their relationship and never dared to confess.

It felt like a punishment. The day everything was finally settled, her sister left, leaving behind a letter telling her to live well and wishing her happiness.

Mei Zhichun spent many days in a daze, unable to understand why her sister had to die, or why she thought Mei Zhichun could be happy without her.

So she went to join her.

In a haze, Mei Zhichun returned to the place where they first met. She saw her sister looking stunned, as if asking why she'd come.

She held her sister tight, wanting to lose herself in the dream. But the pain all over her body, left from being beaten as a child for stealing food, told her this wasn't a dream.

Everything was much the same as in her previous life. The only difference was that now she tried every way she could to seduce her sister, hoping she would never leave.

She secretly bought her sister a rose and cautiously asked if she could stay by her side.

Her sister didn't answer.

It wasn't until she saw her sister buy another plane ticket, preparing to get away from her, that Mei Zhichun turned the rose into a gold chain and fastened it around her neck, holding her fingers tight.

"What do I have to do to make you stay, Sis? Should I cripple my legs, or get pregnant? Choose one."
