After Tao Ying died of illness, he was bound to a Heavenly Book System and reborn in the Great Qiong Kingdom. The Heavenly Book told him he had to complete contract missions to truly extend his life.
But after he accepted the decree, he discovered it read: "Qin Ying, only daughter of XXX, is hereby granted an official post and shall take office on a date to be determined."
The Heavenly Book: [I forgot to tell you, Great Qiong is a matriarchal kingdom.]
Having to disguise himself as a woman and serve as an official in a matriarchal kingdom was already nerve-racking enough, but...
"Can you explain what this side quest means?" Qin Ying laughed in fury. "What do you mean, find a good spouse? Should the good spouse I seek be a man or a woman?"
[Well... Considering your disguise as a woman can't be exposed, perhaps... it should... be a man.]
If it weren't for that damn mission progress, he would never have given in. So...
"Let's make a deal. I'll treat your family, and you marry me."
The young general's handsome face flushed bright red. "Lord Qin... are you joking with me?"
The imperial capital was celebrating. "Have you heard? The Empress's personally appointed Minister of Agriculture is going to marry the young general of the Lu family as his husband!"
Lu Zhuoxin looked forward to their wedding night, only for Qin Ying to tell him, "I'm in poor health, so I can't share a bed with you. From now on, we'll sleep separately."
Years later, Lu Zhuoxin blushed as he climbed into Qin Ying's bed. "Wife, are you still in poor health? May I attend to you tonight?"
"Don't pretend to be innocent. Which of us is attending to whom?" Qin Ying held his aching back as he went to court, drawing a crowd of stares. "Lord Qin, your husband has the stamina of an entire harem all by himself."
Would you like to have that kind of luck?
