Gentle, pure-hearted Taoist priest × powerful demoness with a contrasting side
The first impression Xian Qing has of Qing Yao is that he's a somewhat slow-witted but deeply righteous young Taoist priest who has come down from the mountains.
There are six ranks of demons in the world. In these times, demons run rampant, and evil ones who harm people have learned to conceal their identities and hide among the crowd. When Qing Yao turns eighteen, he takes leave of his master and descends the mountain alone.
As it happens, the first demon he meets is the supremely evil Fei.
The kind-hearted young priest happens to save a girl. She has no parents and nowhere to turn, so he takes her along with him.
Later, when people call her a demon, he protects her without hesitation. As more and more evidence points to her being a demon, he simply gazes at her for a few moments before turning to the world and declaring that he will marry her.
Xian Qing's demonic power is so great that everyone fears her. They all demand that Qing Yao exterminate her. When Xian Qing sees him again, she thinks he's come to kill her, but instead he pulls her tightly into his arms, as if she were a treasure he'd lost and found again.
Once the turmoil passes, Xian Qing knows the two of them can never be together. Everything began with deception, so she decides to leave.
The young Taoist priest, whose bearing is as clear as moonlight, finally breaks. In torrential rain, he drops to one knee and begs her with all the humility he can muster.
His voice catches, and in his desperation, blood wells up in his mouth. "If you chose to deceive me, why didn't you keep deceiving me for the rest of my life?"
The young priest who once vanquished demons is ultimately defeated by a demoness.
Xian Qing does not belong to this world. She is a demon from another world, and she will do anything to return. In Pear Blossom Town, she meets an interesting person: a somewhat slow-witted but deeply righteous young man. She had planned to kill him and absorb his life essence, but discovered she couldn't lay a finger on him. Unwilling to give up, she disguises herself and waits for a chance to strike.
Xian Qing admits she's a bit wicked. In fact, she rather likes being called a demoness. What surprises her is that someone would defy his own path and follow his heart to love her.
Reading Guide:
1. One-on-one, one true pairing.
2. This is not a story about a powerful female lead. The heroine isn't genuinely kind and virtuous, so please don't describe her as such.
3. At first, neither lead really understands love. They only gradually come to recognize their feelings later on.
4. The hero is hopelessly romantic. The moment he meets the heroine, his IQ drops to zero. He doesn't believe or listen to a single word anyone says about her. He only believes her. The heroine always comes first.
The hero suffers quite a bit, so don't read if that's not for you.
5. The plot and romance get equal focus. A side couple has a possessive, coercive romance. Their values are questionable, so don't read if that's not for you.
6. There is no evil female rival. The leads' feelings are mutual from beginning to end.
Theme: Those who love you will love you no matter what.
It's incredible. There should be more plots like this.
Alas, it does take a lot of effort 😏
I quite like the characters of this pair of CPs
San Tu only has kisses in her mind 😏 Niao Niao and Ah Jiu are best friends 🤗 Will the backlash of Niao Niao be strong? I feel so distressed 😭
It turns out they knew each other when they were kids.
Ouch, ouch, let's sleep together 😏 When someone wakes up, his face will turn red again 😏
It's amazing that Santu still has such an idea. I thought he was an innocent boy [covering face and peeking] By the way, does my sister have a social account?
Yes, come on, author! The writing is also good 💪
We have lovers and friends🐰
I'm still thinking about Xu Feiyan 😏
