When Liu Wan was eighteen, she confessed to Yan Jingzhi.

The man in his prime gave her a stern look. "You're going through puberty, your hormones are running high, and your social circle is small, so you think I'm the one you can rely on most. When you grow up, you'll find your current self ridiculous."

Yet by the time she graduated from university, Liu Wan had never managed to have a relationship, nor had she met a man better than Yan Jingzhi.

Most dangerous of all, Yan Jingzhi had prepared a generous dowry for her and was going to marry off the girl he'd raised himself.

Tsk. Time to turn up the heat on this old geezer.

Yan Jingzhi: "I don't know what happened. She was shouting things like 'I insist on making it work,' 'Look me in the eye, old geezer,' and 'A forcibly twisted melon may not be sweet, but it'll quench your thirst,' then rushed into the cage and welded the door shut."

Yan Jingzhi: "That's all beside the point. I haven't even finished building my birdcage!"

Yan Jingzhi: "By the way, who's this old geezer?"
