Set in the same world as Jian'an Illusion and The Northern Liang Traveler, this tells the story of Lu Rongshi after she leaves the palace, where she had been cast aside as an imperial consort. Daughter of a disgraced official vs. a handsome man who lives off her (but doesn't force the issue). Healing through food and mutual redemption.
Theme: Though battered, she still stands against wind and snow, each step leaving a deep mark as she walks toward new life.
