[Well-behaved shou & straight guy gong. The title and blurb may change, but the premise won't.]
Yu was born with a mole at the corner of his eye. A fortune-teller said he was a curse to his husband, and that anyone who married him would be doomed to misfortune.
Because of that verdict, people in the village often pointed at him and talked. His family didn't like him either, thinking he was a useless burden who brought shame to their name. They gave him all the dirty, exhausting work, but never let him have any of the good things.
When he turned fifteen, he got engaged.
A month before the wedding, his intended got drunk, fell into a ditch, and broke his leg. The next day, he came to call off the engagement.
His second engagement was to a lame man, who suddenly fell ill and died before the wedding.
At seventeen, his family arranged for him to marry a fool. The fool's parents had both died, and his relatives didn't want to raise him. They were just hoping Yu would marry him and curse him to death.
But before Yu could marry him, the fool's parents suddenly "came back from the dead," took him away, and called off the engagement.
His family kicked him out and punished him by forbidding him to eat for three days.
Yu had lost the will to live. He jumped into a river to drown himself, but a strange man in unusual clothes rescued him.
The strange man took him up a mountain and said he was willing to give him shelter, on one condition... Yu had to teach him how to grow vegetables.
Shi Heng was an ordinary college student. One weekend, on his way to a part-time job, a sudden rumble of thunder sent him transmigrating to another world.
He had transmigrated in his own body, but often wondered if he was already dead and his soul had simply drifted to another world.
Because no one else could see or hear him, he was invisible in this world, like a wandering ghost.
But he could get thirsty and hungry, hot and cold.
It was absolutely awful...
