Jiang Li is a beta transfer student at Trolotia Academy. In this aristocratic school full of heaven-favored elites, he's as insignificant as a feather. So Jiang Li hates heaven, earth, and everyone but himself.

In the past, Jiang Li spent most of his time in the Lower City fantasizing. He dreamed he could become the young master of some Upper City aristocratic family, attend the best school, eat the finest food, and never have to worry about making ends meet again. One day, his fantasy came true: he was the real young master of the Jiang family, switched at birth.

The day he was brought back to the Jiang family, only the family's fake young master welcomed him. That's when he learned his parents despised him for being a beta, believing he brought shame upon the Jiang family name. But since he was their blood, they had no choice but to hold their noses and take him back.

Jiang Li didn't say anything about it, merely cursing them silently in his heart: It's fine. He'd seen plenty of that kind of contempt in the Lower City. Now he just needed to make a killing.

On his first day at Trolotia Academy:

"Know your place. Betas aren't welcome here."

Jiang Li: What's wrong with you? Who'd want to come here if it weren't for the education?

Later:

Jiang Li: "Can you get lost and stop clinging to me?"

"Lili, say that one more time and I'll leave."

Jiang Li: "You're insane! I need to study!"
