Jiang Zhen, in-game ID: 404, is a star player in the professional Hazard Zone league. He appears and disappears across the battlefield like a ghost, and enemies often never even see him before they die.

Before the new season, an eighteen-year-old sniper joined the team. His name was Lin Xuran.

With a shock of red, spiky dyed hair, the boy fixed his eyes on Jiang Zhen and showed him his game ID.

[One Shot to Take Down 404]

During a previous random queue, a player had shadowed Jiang Zhen throughout the match, knocking him down with sniper headshots seven times. Their ID was [One Shot to Take Down 404].

Jiang Zhen smiled wryly. "You followed me all the way to my team?"

Lin Xuran curled his lips. "I'll follow you, but I won't kill you."

Jiang Zhen's playstyle was completely unique, and no one could work perfectly with him, until Lin Xuran joined the team.

He personally taught Lin Xuran every detail of his tactics.

During matches, Lin Xuran could always predict his moves: clearing the routes he had to take, laying down smoke at just the right time, and headshotting any enemy who spotted him.

Whenever Jiang Zhen needed cover, Lin Xuran's voice would come through his headset: "I'm in position."

Then one day, Jiang Zhen discovered a folder named after him on Lin Xuran's computer. It had been created two years earlier and contained everything about Jiang Zhen's matches.

As well as nearly a hundred beautiful photos.

Jiang Zhen propped his chin on his hand, smiling warmly and casually. "Do you like my skills, or do you like me?"

Lin Xuran's eyes were bright and dewy. "Both."

Later, Jiang Zhen became a legendary shot-caller in the league, while Lin Xuran earned the nickname "King of Hell's Roll Call" with his sniper rifle.

At the awards ceremony, Jiang Zhen personally pinned the [Best Rookie] medal on Lin Xuran.

After the celebration banquet, Lin Xuran cornered Jiang Zhen by the table and leaned over him. "You taught me how to master your tactics."

His fingers grew restless. "Today, teach me how to explore you inside and out."

Jiang Zhen looked at him lazily, amused. "Want to learn? Call me big brother."
