Blurb:
In Yokohama, there's a fearsome organization whose territory is the port, known as the Port Mafia. It's more dangerous than the underworld's hidden inner circles, and its members are divided into a strict hierarchy.
A tower 20 meters high splits open from the base. A huge crack stretches up toward the higher floors. With a thunderous boom like an explosion, the building collapses in an instant like a toy made of blocks. Floating dust fills the air, making it foul and murky.
"An ability with that much destructive power. It seems you'll fit right into this dark organization." A girl in a pink kimono holds a dark red paper umbrella, standing poised atop the ruins as if the spectacular tower's collapse had never happened.
Facing her is a boy who looks even younger. A confident smile rests on his face, and his blue eyes shine brightly. He is the one who caused the collapse.
Before she has even finished speaking, the Alpha scent of the girl with the umbrella cuts forcefully through the dust in the air and rushes straight at the boy. Its pressure is as sharp as a blade.
The boy shows no reaction at all, despite being enveloped in such a powerful, invasive scent. The girl raises the corners of her mouth and folds her umbrella away. As she reaches out to take his hand, the boy finally speaks.
"My name is Chuuya Nakahara. Male, 12 years old. My secondary gender hasn't been determined yet." His voice is still childish as he gives a brief introduction. "My ability is to control the gravity of anything I touch."
The girl takes Chuuya's hand. "My name is Kouyou Ozaki. Female, 16 years old, Alpha. You'll find out about my ability soon enough. Congratulations, you've passed the test. Starting today, you're a member of the Port Mafia, and I'll be your mentor. I'll help you grow stronger. Come with me now."
The tips of his slightly curled brown-orange hair sway with his steps. The boy named Chuuya Nakahara has finally joined the dark organization that ordinary people dread. The infusion of powerful strength can revive what has begun to decay.
[Reader's Guide]
Serious tone. The story begins ten years before the original. Dazai and Chuuya are both only 12. ABO setting. For certain necessary reasons, omega heats have been moved up to age 16. Other personal additions will be explained as the story goes on. Includes various imagined events from the boys' younger years.
