The Side Character in a Dating Sim Only Wants to Be Universally Hated

Xie Qing had a dream. In it, the world she lived in was just an immersive yuri dating game, and she had no significant role. She was merely a passerby.

After waking, Xie Qing didn't take the dream seriously. She carried on with her fulfilling routine of studying, working part-time, eating, studying, working part-time, eating, and sleeping.

Then, in her sophomore year, a lot of transfer students suddenly arrived at her school. Xie Qing discovered that whenever she got close to them, or to the protagonists from her dream, many of her actions became uncontrollable.

For example, when a transfer student confessed to the campus belle, Xie Qing happened to be passing by. She meant to ignore them and go back to class, but her body stopped against her will, and she joined the other onlookers in cheering them on.

The feeling of being unable to control herself frightened Xie Qing. At last, she believed everything she'd seen in her dream.

She began avoiding the protagonists and players, trying to stay on the edges of the story. This let her get through a semester in peace, but then a woman's arrival changed everything.

At first, Xie Qing thought the transfer student was just an ordinary player. But soon she realized something was off. Instead of pursuing the protagonists, this woman followed her around every day.

And after the woman appeared, other players began showing up around her too. Xie Qing was disgusted. She snapped at everyone who tried to confess to her, thinking that would drive them away. So why were more and more people gathering around her?

The viewers couldn't understand it until they saw the peerless beauty beneath the glasses. The whole internet ground to a halt.

The players all started flocking to Xie Qing, hoping to pursue this passerby outside the story. Every single one got the same response from Xie Qing: "Get lost."

Players: ...

So satisfying.

Before long, the players noticed that after they started getting close to Xie Qing, the protagonists who had previously ignored them began accepting their invitations. The players were flattered and astonished.

They thought the protagonists were jealous, until one player kept pestering Xie Qing during her period. Wen Zhijin, hailed as the gentle campus goddess, turned cold for the first time. The murderous intent in her eyes was impossible to hide.

"Get away from her. Come near her again, and I'll kill you."
