Yu Mo is an ordinary person.
She's an actress, but has never really been in love.
Her friends blame it on her old-fashioned courtship routine.
First, you exchange texts and phone calls for several all-nighters,
talking about the vastness of life, then the little shoots on the windowsill.
Dates have to be booked by phone days in advance, with several confirmation texts sent.
You each dress up, remembering to spray a suitable perfume on your wrists.
You keep the conversation going over candlelight in a romantic restaurant,
and don't stop until the restaurant closes.
As luck would have it,
she meets someone just as ordinary and old-fashioned: Yu Mo.
The two of them wander all the way from Xiangjiang Middle Road to Lushannan Road,
exploring the food map from Hexi to Hedong.
When all is said and done,
their story begins with a simple question:
"Want to go have another drink by the Xiang River tonight?"
