A little scene

In the blaze, Xue Jing yanked Liu Chang'an, who had been preparing to go to his death alone once more, up onto his horse.

"Do you really think you're some kind of cat demon with nine lives?! Stay behind me like a good little boy!"

Bouncing on the horse, Liu Chang'an wrapped his arms around Xue Jing's waist, his cheek pressed against Xue Jing's warm back as he felt the passionate heat of that ray of light.

"Xue Zhaoxing, I was lucky enough to crawl back from purgatory, covered in blood and sin. I don't deserve this from you..."

His words reached the chest rising and falling steadily in front of him. Aside from a soft snort, there was no reply.

Liu Chang'an tightened his arms, as if trying to meld himself into Xue Jing's body.

He smiled, his eyes curving. "Since you insist... then you'll never get rid of me again..."
