[Football] Shine Your Fire on Me

[I only wrote this because I was so let down by the French Eagles' Europa League performance, and my club won the championship, hey! Also, there are so many handsome Spanish guys...]

Seven-year-old Otto is captivated by his cousin, who has just won a junior racing championship, and decides on the spot that he wants to become a racing driver too.

But "...Kokko, you're too tall," his mother says regretfully after measuring Otto, who is already far taller than other children his age.

So Otto's racing career, cut short before it has properly begun, takes an unexpected turn when a friend he met while traveling coaxes and cajoles him into playing football.

"Do you Germans really have to be this attached to home?" his friend says through gritted teeth.

Otto scratches his head in confusion, completely unaware that his friend only started chatting him up because he wanted to rope him into playing center forward for good.

1. Pairing with Xavi. I'm terrible at writing romance, so this might genuinely turn into a brotherly friendship as I go along. (Looks up at the sky.)

2. The protagonist is German-Spanish mixed race, and plays for the German national team. His club is tentatively Frankfurt and Liverpool for now, but I'm not sure if he'll move again later.

3. There may be some paddock scenes mixed in. Come check out the paddock with me, okay? Great...
